It all started when…

Welcome to Mairi MacSween Designs, a design studio in Edinburgh who specialises in luxury wedding stationery, greetings cards and digital prints which incorporate my own illustration.

I’m Mairi and live in Leith with my husband, wee girl and boy, two goldfish and large collection of house plants! A textile graduate from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, I lived in Japan for a year after art college before returning to Scotland to start Mairi MacSween Designs in 2002. I originally started designing and making greetings cards but was commissioned to design some wedding stationery and never looked back…

Here I am scrubbed up on my own wedding day in 2014 but I am normally working away in my studio in Leith in my trusty dungarees! My award winning stationery is all meticulously handmade with great attention to detail and I love working with clients from thoughout the UK to create their dream wedding stationery.

Since I was a wee girl, I’ve loved drawing and painting and all of my designs feature my original artworks which makes them completely unique. My illustrations are mainly pencil sketches or watercolour paintings which are hand drawn/painted and I also accept commissions.

The stationery is printed on high quality board and papers which are FSC certified and sourced from within the UK. From save the dates to a seating plan, I will work with you to create special stationery for your big day!
